Moisturizing vs. hydrating - what’s the difference?
When referring to moisturizing hair products we oftentimes use terms moisturizing or hydrating, but have you ever paid attention to what is the actual difference between the two?
To put it simply hydrating means hair moisture level, in other words water (moisture) adding product. Moisturizing products on the other hand prevent moisture loss, while also increasing the moisture level of hair.
Which one to choose? 💦
Generally moisturizing products are meant to support hair moisture level, while hydrating are to be chosen when hair feels dry and in need of deeper hydration.
